Lines that are not properly cleaned on a recommended bi- weekly basis can have detrimental effects on your beverages, and your customers. We're here to help you understand the importance of keeping your draft system clean! Dirty lines cause....
- Acetic Acid and bacteria buildup causes your on-tap beer to taste and smell sour/vinegar like. This even gives the beverage an unappetizing, cloudy color.
- Diacetyl is a secondary fermentation that occurs when backed up bacteria reenters the beer every time it is poured; this will spoil any beverages coming through the lines!
- Calcium Oxalate "Beer Stone" accumulates in the lines, faucets, disconnects, and couplers. In turn, grey or brown flakes will fall into the beer directly from the inside of the line...no patron wants floaters in their beer!
- Visual Signs: Noticeable mold will grow in or around faucets and leave your draft beer lines looking murky and swamp like! See picture to the left....
